Everyone should definitely know how to make simple syrup. It's a common ingredient in many-a-recipe, and is useful in making drinks for everything from a Mint Julep to the best damn Kool-Aid you ever had.

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water (boiling)
Instructions
- Fill a 1-pint mason jar about 1/2 full of sugar.
- Add the boiling water, stirring the mixture quickly until the sugar has completely dissolved and the mixture is clear.
- Let cool to room temperature. Store in the refrigerator.
